Terms and Conditions
The Creative Tutor has the following Terms and Conditions to ensure parents and carers know and understand their and our responsibilities.
By booking a place, you are accepting and agreeing to the terms and conditions outlined below.
Registration:
When booking online, parents/carers are asked to complete a profile for your child. It is your responsibility to ensure we have the correct contact details and any medical information concerning your child.
Bookings:
Bookings can be made online only for clubs and camps. Craft Parties will be invoiced. Please note that an admin fee will be charged for bookings (excluding birthday parties) which is automatically added to your payment.
Payments:
Holiday Clubs & After School Clubs - All After School and Holiday Clubs must be paid for in advance online. Your child’s place will not be guaranteed until payment has been received in full.
Birthday Parties - A £50 deposit will be taken at the time of booking to hold the date. The remaining balance must be paid two weeks prior to the party booking.
Cancellations and Refunds:
Holiday Clubs & Weekend Clubs - Bookings may be cancelled or altered (subject to availability) up to 2 weeks before the date of the booking for a full refund.
7 days prior to the booked start date, no refunds or credit notes will be given.
If your child is sick and/or does not attend, we are unable to offer a refund and the full cost remains billable.
The Creative Tutor's holiday clubs run whatever the weather - in the unlikely event of extreme or dangerous weather conditions, The Creative Tutor remains the right to offer an alternative date or a credit note.
After School Clubs - After School Clubs are booked on a termly basis and can only be cancelled and refunded 2 weeks before term begins.
The Creative Tutor is under no obligation to refund or transfer your money in the event that you are unable to attend part of or the entire course. We regret that we are unable to offer an alternative for missed lessons. Unfortunately, what seems like one simple request is an impractically huge administrative task when spread across many schools.
If your child is sick or does not attend, we will not be able to issue a refund or credit. If your child is not attending the club on their usual day, please contact The Creative Tutor directly.
School closure or strike action:
No refunds or credit will be provided if we are unable to run the after school club due to a reason that is beyond our control (i.e school closure, strike action or severe weather conditions).
As per our T&Cs, a school closure is beyond our control and we cannot refund or provide credits for these sessions.
Refunds will only be issued in the unlikely event of the cancellation of a class or workshop by The Creative Tutor and will not be issued for situations out of our control (i.e. weather, school closures, acts of god).
Birthday Parties - Bookings are secured with a non-refundable deposit. Deposits are non-refundable but transferrable with more than 2 weeks notice. In the unlikely event of extreme or dangerous weather conditions The Creative Tutor will consult with the customer with regards rescheduling the party at everyone’s nearest convenience.
Credit Notes:
Credit will be given in the form of a discount code. These will be valid for 6 months from date of issue.
Addition Covid-19 T&Cs:
Closure of Club due to local or national lockdown measures – Customer will receive a credit note for the full value of the booking to be used within 6 months of restrictions being lifted.
Late Cancellation:
Please ensure you arrive to collect your child promptly. If you are running late, please contact The Creative Tutor so that arrangements can be made for staff to stay on site with your child. In most cases, we will take your child to an after school care club provided by the school. If this is unavailable, we will remain onsite with the child. In this instance, a late collection fee will be charged to cover staff members additional hours. The late fee is £5.00 for up to each 15 mins from the end time of the club.
Lost Property:
The Creative Tutor does not accept any responsibility for children’s lost property. All lost property will be kept for a week following camps and then donated to charity, unless at an after school club, in which case it will be put in the school lost property. Please contact the office if your child has lost something at one of our clubs.
